Perth Folk and Roots Club is also working with Act Belong Commit in recognition of music’s contribution to mental wellbeing.
The performances are from 5.00pm to 8.00pm at the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club, 1 Stancliffe Street, Mount Lawley.
For this event, Perth Folk and Roots Club has Maggie Carty on tour and Donna Iverson.
Maggie Carty is from the west coast of Ireland and is a banjo player and singer. She comes from a family steeped in Irish traditional music. She is now based on Melbourne and has performed at Australian and New Zealand festivals including the National Folk Festival, Illawarra Folk Festival, Ceol Aneas, Nelson New Zealand, Port Fairy Folk Festival, Cresfest and Woodford Folk Festival.
Donna Iverson is a singer songwriter who is focused on melodically rich storytelling, acoustic folk-rock musings and imaginings. Last year, Donna and the Gems launched their EP ‘Object of Desire’ at the Club.
